the problem is... i don't need to use it in abiword
i need to use it in a gtk based app, and i found this app had a problem loading new fonts, and meanwhile abiword too had those problem
so i guessed was a system's problem, not an abiword (and app) problem. Solving this issue for abiword could be not enought to solve it for my app 
btw, maybe it could give some hint to where is the problem; i'd check the link asap 
PS: just to note, i followed instruction on the link i posted... but not being able to install the package they said ;_;
