Unpluging a usb drive then re-pluging it in will change its device name. 2.6 kernel and udev solves this. But we are on 2.4 and original hotpug scripts. Anyway, a known limitation.
Guess i been away to long, should have known/remembered that one. no biggy, i needed to move to my laptop anyway, my desktop is still having problems, that sucker died about 3 months ago, i only got around to working on it now, first thing i did was grab DSL while i could still use the burner.
Hey robert, i forget, on the frugal install, is there the option to not install the bootloader? the reason i ask is because i already have grub for my debian system & would really just like to add DSL to that. it's going to take a couple of days, for me to remember the DSL way of doing things. thanks
