When using the default -user-net You are not going to be able to ping outside. You can ping the builtin dhcp server of 10.0.2.2. Usually the virtual machine is asigned 10.0.2.15. Then using the already established Windows net stack you should be able to use browsers, email and other net clients. You will not have the same IP as the hosting OS.

So, how I am to use the already established Windows stack?  Are you saying the net-clients will be able to do this transparently?

I have a proxy requirement...which makes things a little more complicated.

But as far as TCP/IP I need to be able to connect to an IP address on the Host's network.  Hopefully, I can do this???

Thanks.
Kit
