If you prefer the dfm menu, you could set it to that and have the WM menu invoked on screen edges.

Thank you, ^thehatsrule^

Procedure -- right-click file icon, menu choice "DFM for X11 >", menu choice "Desktop Options", bottom-left section "windowmanager context" radio buttons --> right & bottom buttons selected & whole desktop deselected.  Apply & close.

Now the whole desktop right-clicks to dfm, except when the mouse cursor is on the extreme right or bottom.  Right or bottom right-clicks give the fluxbox menu.

Works.  Not what I'd prefer, but a workable alternative.  (Or I could learn to like a few small icons...)

Nit picking aside, 4.0 is a big improvement over 3.x.

You can also middle-click anywhere on the desktop, followed by a right-click to get the fluxbox menu.

Works for me.  Clicking the left & right buttons to simulate a middle button works fine.  The scroll wheel doesn't work as a middle button (does with some distros/apps).

I googled and googled... and didn't find any docs for good old dfm.  Thanks for the tips.

Glad I don't have an Apple one-button mouse!   :)

I couldn't find much either; fortunately, it's very intuitive (..using the defaults for examples of how to create your own setup).
