hi everyone,

i installed damn small linux on my old sony vaio PCG-Z600NE and it really works fine. It`s so fast.
The only thing that does not work is wireless lan.
I tried two pcmcia cards:
- Lucent technologies Wavelan
- SMC 2632W
With the smc card nothing works so i tried the lucent card. it seems to work... That means it is recognized and a driver is installed and the card even sometimes flashes :-)
So i tried this wlanconfig tool but i don`t manage to connect.
If i try an iwlist i get:
Code Sample

eth0   interface doesn't support scanning : Operation not supported

What is the reason? Any idea?
i will give you now some informations that might help. i have to admitt that although i use linux since a lot of years somehow i'm still like a newbie because i prefer that graphical confiuguration tools...
So please tell me if i have to add some other informations.

thx and greetings from germany
marko
