I'm no expert, so experts may correct me !
Card flashing is a good sign. What version of DSL ?
Firstly, in your wireless access point, open your network and remove security, and note what channel it is on.
Then go into control panel - System stats
and look in net and pci where you might find some info.
In a shell type
ifconfig -a
to see what is happening with your network adapters.
Then in control panel - iwconfig
device = one of what you found above (eth0 , ath0 etc)
channel = wireless channel you are using
sid = network ssid
wep = leave blank
If it works then try wep in the access point and add your wep code above.
