Use backup/restore to save configuration. Read about it in the "getting started" section.

Probably only need to add /dev/modem to the filetool.lst.
Or possibly better add this to bootlocal.sh
ln -s /dev/ttyS1 /dev/modem
Where ttyS1 means COM2
Try one or the other but not both.

I added /dev/modem to the filetool.lst
Where is the bootlocal.sh file?

I too have to config my modem/dialup everytime I run DSL, for some reason it goes through the motion of saving and restoring my files to floppy, there are two files- backup.tar.gz and filetool.lst. It 'remembers' nothing I have set.

The most I have been able to "restore" is my desktop style. ie- the default is 'simple' and I set it to 'minimal.' I restore this by bashbox# .bash_profile

Wondering what files I need to edit in order to restore my dialup settings and desktop 'preferences.'
