I've got DSL running swiftly on my NEC Ready 120LT, with the exception of the audio and wireless networking hardware. I really still don't have any idea what I'm doing, but this sounds like an easy problem.

According to a page I found on getting linux to work on this machine, "The sound chip is a Cyrix XpressAUDIO chip that is 100% SoundBlaster compatible so the kernel "sb" module works fine for generating normal sound and the "opl3" module works with the MIDI Wave Table."

DSL does not automagically recognize the card at startup, I've tried setting it in the BIOS to both OS-configured and specified IRQ, DMA etc. Neither helped.

I've got a frugal install of DSL. What do I do to get this working? Thanks for any help.

Regarding BIOS, I keep seeing reports that Linux works best with PnP OS = NO.
