I need some help setting the correct video resolution on startup. I'm booting/running from the DSL CD. I typically run 1024x768 res and  32 bit color in Windows. My card and monitor are:
Monitor - NEC Multisync XV17
Card - Diamond Multimedia Fire GL 1000 Pro

The monitor works with thesame res on a different machine. Do I need to type a command word when choosing the correct resolution & color count?

Thanks for any pointers you can provide.
