If you have a driver CD that came with your wireless device, you can try using ndiswrapper to run a windows driver.
I would recommend that you either install DSL to the machine that will use that device, or plan to remaster your CD if using Live (although you may encounter problems if moving from machine to machine due to USB naming under DSL).
If you are using an embedded USB stick, you might be able to install the driver there, although I've never tried using DSL embedded.
