I do indeed think tiny core can be a wonderful playground for lua fltk and with florian's new "open lua fltk" it will be even better.  :D

And with the option of gtk1 or gtk2 we will be able to deploy the community built extensions, while more lua fltk and/or fltk apps can be made and come into tiny core.

MO, ede is a step down from jwm. Last time I tried it (approximately 2-2.5 months ago), it continually crashed. That led me back to jwm and then to try dwm.

Ho! I knew there was a reason why EDE's look was so alike Win95

There was a small distro I played with awhile back that used ede. It also had troubles with the occasional crashing. Seems it had potential but just needs more work. When it comes to light, I am always going to be partial to fluxbox. With tiny core you can "ship" DSL with any preinstalled desktop extension and no one would know the difference whether it was in the actual core or not unless they fished around in the iso.

Can't wait for the testing to begin!

I think users will come around to embracing the modularity of it. It gives as much choice and control as is possible to the user while still allowing DSL to be used as live CD, etc.

Saxon, that's it. I couldn't remember the name of the OS.
