Hi everyone!

I just put dsl in my pendrive and Iwas wondering about some questions

-Can I also boot dsl at startup from the pendrive instead of executing it from windows or linux? How? Do I have to put dsl on a partition apart on the pendrive or just have it there with the other things in the pendrive (firefox portable, documents, etc...)

-Can I access the pendrive where dsl is unzipped? I noticed that the dsl-linux.sh and dsl-windows.bat have the option nousb, should I remove this one to access the usb?

-How can I save my settings into the same pendrive?

Ok I think that's all for now, after I have those things clear I will start with the rest

Hi marras!

If your bios supports booting from usb then it is possible to boot directly from the usb-drive. No you don't have to make any partitions. Yes you can access the usb-drive (probably as sda1 or so). Don't remove the option "nousb" until you know what you are doing. This has to do with booting embedded in another os and depends on the hardware of the host computer. Your settings are saved using system-> backup/restore. Try it out and if something is unclear get back to the forum.
