I'm using a Dell Latitude D600 laptop, and whenever the loading gets up to "PCMCIA found, starting cardmgr" right after "Processor 0 is Intel Pentium M processor 1600 Mhz  1594 Mhz 0 KB Cache" it freezes.  I don't have anything in the PCMCIA slot.  I can get it to boot if I type "knoppix nopcmcia", but does anyone know a better solution to this problem?

My laptop seems to work fine with Knoppix without having to disable the PCMCIA check.  I don't know what's wrong with your distribution.  I'm pretty sure my ISO isn't corrupted.  I've even downloaded it more than once.

I have identical problem with my old Toshiba. "knoppix nopcmcia" works ok, but I have PCMCIA 10/100 network card... I can boot full Knoppix 3.2  - any problem with PCMCIA.
