When i tried to install perl i have probles with perl-base(5.8) and perl (5.6) i was read every post in these forums but none is working.

Some packages ....
apache depends perl5 or perl but is not goin to be installed
sorry broken packages

apt-get install perl
...
perl depends perl-base (=5.6.1-8.3) but 5.8.0-15 is to be installed
E: sorry broken packages

i'm using last DamsSmallLinux ( 0.5.3.1)

Have a look in /usr/bin/ and you shoud find perl 5.8 already there
