hi everybody,
i'm trying to run DSL on my 256mb USB stick, and everything runs smoothly, not included the onboard LAN and onboard sound of my ASRock ConRoeXFire-eSATA2 mobo. how can I make these 2 things work? (driver download/manual install?)

I looked up some info for you:
ASRock ConRoeXFire-eSATA2
Lan: Realtek RTL8111B
Audio: Realtek ALC888

I was looking on the internet, and it looks like realtek offers linux drivers. I went there, but they are having site problems. Hopefully they will fix them before you read this. Here is the link to realtek's home page:

it won't work...
maybe because i've got very basic linux knowledge
i tried the sound driver... unpacking works (you even don't have to do it with the terminal!) and then i navigate to the directory with terminal (\mnt\hdb5\realtek-linux-audiopack-4.05b) and type
Code Sample
sudo -s
sh install

then it seems to install nice, but it gives errors cause it doesn't recognise the MAKE commands
same errors when i try the LAN install
any solutions?

You can use mydsl and grab one of the gcc1* packages (or apt-get it)

fyi, the 'make' program usually indicates you have to compile something as well.
