It sounds to me like you aren't specifying the location of your myDSL applications, or even that you shutdown your live CD without saving the apps to another medium.
if you shutdown while running Live, you lost your apps.
If you have it on a machine, you'll need to figure out where you stored your apps (probably /tmp) and move it to your hard drive's root directory (or thumb drive's root directory).
Then reboot, and specify where the apps are located at.
