DSL Wizards:

Friends keep giving me their obsolete hardware, and I'd like to um, un-obsolete it. A flash drive with Toram seems like a great way to reinvigorate an old Pentium II desktop motherboard. The DOM on the DSL store website looks great, but I'd like to know if it will fit into a 40 pin ide slot, and if so, if an old board will be able to boot from it.

Thanks in advance!

first note that 'embedded os' is different from 'embedded storage'. i say that because this section is usually used by
confused 'embedded os' users of whom have all my sympathy.

o.k, back to your topic (embedded storage).

comparing the pics, it looks to be a 44 pin model, although they also make 40 pin models too.
these vertical 'disk on a module' s really do look cool. personally i've never used one, opting
for a normal CF+adapter.

That probably wouldn't be my choice unless that mobo already has enough RAM to justify it. Then again, both my Pentium 2s have 64MB. DSL boots/runs better on them (both hard drive install and frugal) than NT does.

Oops, wrong forum! Well, that explains some things. Sorry everyone, and thank you humpty and lucky13 for your insights. I will try to get in touch with the DSL store.
