Hi all,
I created a USB flash disk install using the DSL tools / create a USB-ZIP format option (which works great by the way).
So on my 512MB USB flash disk I have 2 partitions - the first (50MB or so partition) appears to be the boot partition and has the knoppix etc. files in it - this partition is visible to Windows.
I also have a 450MB partition which has a file name 'backup.tar.gz' (or something like that) in it, which is NOT visible to Windows.  From memory when I did an fdisk -p it said the second partition was formatted as W95 FAT.
I'm very much a linux newbie and following commands found via googling for help - how can I please set the second 450MB partition create by the DSL create script, so that it is readable/writable by Windows please?
  Many thanks in advance, Gizmomelb
PS: some extra questions if I may:
  1. does DSL 3.3 support reading/writing to NTFS partitions? 2. does DSL 3.3 by default support writing my settings to the USB flash disk, so I don't have to reconfigure every time I boot DSL?  (is that what the backup.tar.gz file is?)
