Does anyone know how to get a audiable sound out of Sylpheed when mail arives?
I love it otherwisw because it's so small. Oh, and a spell checker would be a groove also, but then it would'nt be small would it. Thanks,

Try slypheed-claws.

You can add a spell checker (aspell, I think), spam filter (bogofilter+sylpheed rocks, howto located here),
plus learn about how to do all other sorts of neat stuff with sylpheed here.

Not sure off the top of my head if it's possible to cause sylpheed to cause an audible alert, but I don't use it anymore. Switched to mutt so I can SSH to my machine at home from work to check/send/receive mail.
