ke4nt,
It appears from my local copy that I may have accidentally sucked in the libflashplayer.so file itself into the tarball instead of just the symlink. It probably has something to do with following symlinks.
Anyways, you can create the symlink by doing the following (this assumes that the /opt/opera directory is writable and is not currently mounted as a read only compressed ISO). It also assumes that you have the gnu-utils extension up and running:
cd /opt/opera/lib/opera/plugins
ln -s /opt/.firefox_plugins/libflashplayer.so
Then re-create your extensions including this symlink.
Opera will then automatically start using flash if and when the flash plugin gets downloaded.
Sorry guys, i have replaced Opera with firefox! (but i still have a java kinda problem...
(see other topics)
I have rebuilt the opera6.1.2.tar.gz with the symlink..
Check to see that it is working properly..
If so, feedback to me and I'll use this as the source for the .uci version..

Patrick:
As long as you have the j2re1.4.2.tar.gz or .uci loaded BEFORE you run firefox
you should have full java capability...
Down either one into your /home/dsl directory ( usually does by default )
In emelfm, highlight the download by clicking on it one time ( single click )
Then press the "mydsl" button at the top center of your emelfm window
Your java should be installed..
Check Yahoo Games - Text Twist for an example of java capability ..
If it plays online, your java is fine..
My bank does not like any browser except Microsoft Internet Explorer..
What I did is grab a firefox plugin that spoofs itself as another browser..
Then I could use firefox to access my banking accounts..

Change your user agent to Opera 7.54 - then try your online business
