1. Open the emelfm file manager.
2. Click ONCE on the filetool.lst filename.
3. Push the "Edit button"
4. The file contents will appear in the Beaver text editor window.
Add a new line to the beginning to the file:
home/dsl/.mozilla
5. Press the "Save" floppy disk icon on the toolbar.
6. Close down Beaver and Emelfm.
7. Right click on the desktop and choose from the menu:
System -> Backup/Restore
8. Type in the place where you want to store your backup file.
For example:
fd0 = usually your floppy disk drive
sda1 = usually your USB thumb drive
hda1 = First hard drive partition on IDE master drive
usually C:\ drive for MSDOS/Win95/Win98/WinME
and so on.
9. Then press the BACKUP button.
To restore, type this in at bootup time:
dsl restore=xxx
where xxx is the name of the backup device from step 8.
10. Enjoy
MAKE SURE THAT YOUR USB THUMB DRIVE IS ALREADY PLUGGED IN AT BOOT TIME OR IT WILL NOT BE AUTOMATICALLY DETECTED.
I don't use ppp but my guess is that you need to add
opt/ppp
to your filetool.lst
Otherwise, the instructions are the same.
I don't need to write restore=xxx, dsl find my backup (hda1) automatically
