I've been trying to get Bluetooth to work under DSL-N RC4 but seem to be stuck somewhere.

My Dell Latitude D400 has built-in Bluetooth on USB:

Dell TrueMobile Bluetooth Module (PnPID USB\VID_413C&PID_8000)
Manufacturer: Widcomm (now Broadcom...)
Manufacturer: Cambridge Silicon Radio
Firmware Revision: 1266

Even though the bluetooth is switched on at boot (it is on the same hardware switch as the built-in WiFi which works), hotplug does not recognise it.

If I "apt-get install bluez-utils" and modprobe hci_usb & rfcomm, then I get the following:
[code:1]root@dslbox:~# lsmod
Module Size Used by
hci_usb 16904 0
rfcomm 39832 0
l2cap 28416 3 rfcomm
bluetooth 48900 3 hci_usb,rfcomm,l2cap[/code:1]
but hcitool from bluez-utils does not seem to see a device:
[code:1]root@dslbox:~# hcitool dev
Devices:
root@dslbox:~# hcitool scan
Device is not available: Success[/code:1]
This seems to indicate that my bluetooth module is not recognised as a device. Does anybody have an idea what I might be missing here? More details below:
[code:1]root@dslbox:~# /etc/init.d/hotplug restart
