I'm a DSL user with at least some experience. When I tried to remaster DSL-N rc2, the remaster program couldn't be found when I selected it from the menu.

Anyone else have that problem?

What about rc3? Remaster ok there?

Kernel 2.6.x suits my needs better - ethernet chip discovery & module load for recent design laptops, so I was looking forward to using DSL-N. Got it all set up with my extra packages but couldn't start the remaster.

Much obliged, Bob

Remastering release candidates is usually not a great idea. Almost everything in the distro is in a state of flux right now. The RC releases are mostly for locating the last of the bugs and "fine tuning" the whole package.

I'd highly suggest waiting for a stable release before actually remastering.

On the other hand, letting the big giant heads know that a program isn't found when run via menu is right along the lines of things being looked for in the RC phase. Even if remastering an RC isn't usually something to do, it's still good you found out there's an issue before a stable release.
