so i'm getting a Zen vision:m 60gb

im hoping to part off 8gb for portable storage and put a bootable DSL install on there, on a fat32 partition?

i need to be able to carry it around, boot it, download stuff, and bring it home to pull my downloads off it onto my windows systems.

apprently im a windows guy, i havent touched linux in 6 months, so i need some help. i have a 6gb external usb hard drive to toy with. should work the same as the zen would

this is where i got the idea....i figured DSL could work out better, its smaller to start with, and i can add in teh few things i need via apt-get once i figure that out. if DSL wont work though, ill use knoppix, but then i have to remove alot of stuff
