We have had no problem both compiling and loading the resulting ivtv driver except when it comes to loading the card firmware. partial dmesg output is as follows: ... ivtv0: unable to open firmware v4l-cx2341x-enc.fw ivtv0: did you put the firmware in the hotplug firmware directory? ... We have tried the firmware files in the only pre-existing DSL-N hotplug directory (/usr/lib/hotplug/firmware) but also in the two other hotplug firmware directories referenced in the /etc/hotplug/firmware.agent file as well. Can anybody suggest a fix or debugging strategy w.r.t. hotplug? Best Regards and thank you in advance.
