DSL Embedded :: can't get cd or floppy to boot after a frugal inst

I installed dsl 4.25 to a dell dimension 1 gig processor,128 mgs of ram. Dsl boots properly, shuts down but it won't boot to any cds or floopies. I have the boot order in bios cd, fde, and harddrive. It boots to dsl without any hesitation, but it should boot to the cd. Any help would be appreciated
