Trying to get make fileutils etc fails on fileutils /bin/chgrp "because its in coreutils" or silmilar. I have moved the offending program but the error persists. coreutils is up to date but I really need to compile my dynIP udate client.

any help?

Search the forums for " gcc g++ make "
That should get these 3 installed ..
If you need kernel sources , look to find a knoppix 3.4 disk to pull from.

I also found that before you run "apt-get install gcc g++ make" you should do a "apt-get update" first.

also, the gcc1.dsl in the testing area works like a charm.
