XMMS can't find sound

I have DSL on the laptop listed in my signature and had the sound working after the HD install by using the modprobe command:
sudo modprobe opl3sa2 isapnp=0 io=0x220 mpu_io=0x330 mss_io=0x530 irq=11 dma=0 dma2=1

I turned the laptop off and restarted it the next day and ran the same modprobe command.  Now when I run XMMS it does not find the sound and gives me a list of things to check including the sound configuration.

dmesg says "control port 0x220 is not a YMF7xx chipset"

BIOS settings:
i/o address:220-22FH
mpu 401: 330-333H
Int: 11
PNP is disabled

What am I doing wrong?

Well it took me a while to figure it out but for some reason you have to have io=0x370.

my friend I had the same problem and I solve it easily
as root open emelfm  go to directory /boot there have a file named bootlocal.sh open it with beaver
just write in this file and save it
insmod /lib/modules/2.4.X/kernel/drivers/sound/opl3sa2.o
insmod /lib/modules/2.4.X/kernel/drivers/sound/mpu401.o
ok it is finished and now reboot the system and check if sound is working
