K, I just bought myself a copy of the wallet version of DSL.  Its FREAKEN COOL!  Now im thinking of trading up my Mandrake 10 and RedHat 9 for dsl, because of how much memory it consumes, now here are my questions, can I play games such as Quake3, and run games through Emulation. (via winex?) I also know that I need XFree86 to install my nVidia drivers, so how do I use the apt-get thing to get the nvidia drivers?  And last question, is it worth using DSL to play games? NOTE: im using DSL version 0.6.3.  THANX!!!

Thats gonna take alot of tweakage to do what you want to do with it...

I dont think DSL has a valid gcc compiler system (even after doing a dpkg update) so building those things might not work.

Does dsl support rpm function?

How about after loading the gnu-utils.dsl package?  Will he then have a compiler (gcc) and make?   I have wanted to compile my wireless drivers under DSL, but you also have to have the exact kernel package sources loaded for the running kernel, to do that.  So far I have just found a copy of Knoppix 3.1 and 3.2 that had the same kernel and gcc and make already avail.  I compiled my module under knoppix and saved to a USB memstick, then tried to use the card under DSL.  I don't think I have ever gotten this module to work under DSL though.  It works great under Knoppix.  I just have to use a wired NIC under DSL.  I need to try this agian.   What version of Knoppix has the same kernel as the one in DSL 0.7.1?
