can dsl be used to install debian?

If you mean can DSL be converted into Debian, not really.  DSL has support for Debian packages, but the base system is very different.  You can probably, eventually, turn DSL into a system resembling Debian, but it would be much simpler just to install Debian.

No I was hoping I could boot to pendrive or something and use apt-get to install debian. I am out of cds and looking for a way to install debian.
