Every single one from the Eee to Dell vaporware. And as we all are delighted to see, most run Linux and about half don't even offer Windows as an option.

Problem is that not every Linux installed on this devices is as good configurated as the one on Eee PC.
On < http://forums.mininoteuser.com > there a some reports about the very bad configured Linux on HP Mini-Note  ???

Part of the problem with the eee in particular was because Asus was slow to release code. Other distros should work well now that their changes to the acpi driver are available.

@Andreas: It can happen, but the general direction of even using Linux is very nice

@curaga: I´d totally agree with you.
That´s why I´m so disappointed with the HP Linux implementation

Some days ago I got a Fujitsu Lifebook B-2130; it's a minilaptop like these, but a bit older, and compared to the Eee, better, due to having bigger screen (10.4 inches) and it being a touchscreen :)

Just the kind I've wanted, for movies on the go etc.

Check out hackaday. They have an article on modding the EEEpc to have a touch screen :D

Can't afford an Eee, and I would hate to browse the web with that measly 7 inches..

I think the new eee is about 9 inches

It's also 200$ more expensive

Then just wait for the 100 dollar dual screen OLPC.

Still waiting for the OLPC $100 laptop with *one* screen...
