I cannot mount my floppy or cd-rom drive. I believe that my cdrom drive is hdc because I think I remember seeing that somewhere. I am not sure what my floppy drive is under.

Need more information:
How are you trying to mount?
Command, mount GUI, filemanger?
And as what user?
How installed? What version.

i have tried mounting with with the mount tool, root access shell, and root access in the filemanager. I am currently running dsl embedded but I plan to install DSL on an old computer soon. I have version 3.2

Ah, embedded. That explains everything.

Qemu virtual machine is currently implemented as a sandbox.
See the Qemu site for possible access outside the sandbox as described in the readme.
