i installed dsl following every guide i found without success

I get these error when loading dsl:

cloop : error -3 uncompressing block 1749 65536/0/20797/0/46275453-46296244

or

INIT : PANIC segmentation violation at 0x804e19! sleeping for 30 seconds

any ideas please? or my usb cannot boot with dsl=(

edit: my usb is this one < http://latinamerica.imation.com/es....zz.html > of 1gb
and by the way i can run dsl from a cd-rom normally

Could be that the data (i.e. KNOPPIX file) is corrupt on your usb drive.

..also I think others have posted that not all  USB devices work with DSL (e.g.,boot partition  fat, >512mg)

i did the last thing i haven't tried, turn on the cache. by default it's turned off so ppl can extract usb without the safe extraction method. now it's working. however i can't make the optical mouse work. i have to replace it for one with serial port

I use a Logitech USB mouse, which works great.
