Hi gui, my names is francesco i write from italy.

i install DSL in my old laptop pentium 2MMX with 96 MBof RAM and 10 Giga HD.

i have install the latest version of DSL and my OLD laptop Reborn!!!
the video and another application work perfect.

But i have 2 Problem:
First: the sound dosent't works!!!
i play the cd but no sound

Why?
it 's possible resolve it???

Second:
the video in youtube not visualize!!

When connect and Try the youtube video with firefox browser in right of the screen appears install the plugin!!!

i install but the video don't work!!!

I hope that the people forum help me

Does the sound work with anything else (like shoutcast streams)? What soundcard is in your laptop?

The default flash plugin from Adobe won't work with the version of Firefox in the base. Upgrade Firefox via MyDSL and use the flash plugins from MyDSL.

Please go to www.shoutcast.com and click on any of the links. XMMS should open and play one of the streams. If the sound works, then you just need to configure audio output for your sound card (might need to set it to 'digital audio extraction' in preferences for xmms) so it can play CDs.

What kind of laptop? It will help to know which card it uses to process audio. At command prompt enter:
lsmod | grep sound

Also use this:
stats.lua

Look through the tabs for your hardware profile if you don't know what your laptop has. Until we know the hardware, we really can't help with the software.

Can't he just use the tone generator with xmms?

Also, make sure you are using Flash v7.

hi guy for problem with work i don't try the tips,but how enable the flash player???
