I am pretty new in linux and want to revive my old computer Dell XPS R350 and think DSL is suitable.

I am figuring out how to setup XFree86 but I cannot get through it. Following the wiki-howto:
I downloaded XFree86.dsl, changed the content of .xserverrc, and create XF86Config-4.
However after reboot, it displays that /usr/X11R6/bin/XFree86 is not found (In fact there is no such file). What should I do?

Thx.

You are aparently running DSL as a live cd or frugal install. If so you will need to reload xfree86 with each boot, and restore your personal settings, including the .xserverrc and /etc/X11/XF86Config files. Please refer to the DSL wiki concerning auto-loading mydsl extensions and the backup/restore system.

Hello,

It appears that you may not have added "/etc/X11/XF86Config-4" to your filetool.lst.

Good Luck
