Looking for work... in the right place

I am searching for a organization that holds values that align with my own. An organization that aims to leave the world better tomorrow than it is today. An organization that helps people, empowers those with need and re-purposes the discarded. I want to put in a solid days' work and to feel proud about what I've accomplished.

I know DSL leaves its mark. The project makes computing accessible to those who would otherwise be left behind. It also helps keeps yesterday's cutting edge out of the ground and slows down the extraction and waste of finite resources. DSL promotes lateral consumerism, where the discarded becomes the product. A nice byproduct of the project is that it has set many users on the path to STEM by giving them the means to learn on machines that would otherwise be unusable. I am immensely proud of the footprint of this project over the last 20 years.

That said, DSL is not a job. It isn't even pocket money. In the past 20 years I've worked for various companies and served them well, but none of them gave me the satisfaction of really working on something to make the world a better place.

So, I put it to you, dear reader, do you know of an organization, company or non-profit that could be a good fit for me?

If you do, please contact me at:

John Andrews
