You're too fast for me today, but glad you resolved something. When I logged-on, I was going to offer you the big tar file to apply to your DSL but... If it weren't packed-up already, I'd be after you to find him a thinner browser like we have with DSL. Would've also asked to see inxi -N again 
At any rate, good work and thanks for the patience. I use Netsurf a lot in DSL. Dillo sometimes. Badwolf sometimes. Firefox ESR when absolutely needed for some compatibility reason. Quite a bit of time in w3m text browser, etc. Sounds like "full" may be a better fit for your friend if he doesn't glaze-over at all the menu entries.
