Laptops :: backpack pcmcia cd burner mounting

hi
how do I mount the pccard cd burner
I booted dsl 2.4 live on my toshiba 4070cds as the 410 would not boot x..well yet..it has a backpack cd burner via pcmcia slot0..which was detected but I do not know how to mount it..not sure but what would I add to fstab?/mtab?.. it shows cdrom2 in file manager
