Multimedia :: flashplayer9

Flash crashes in about 3 seconds on my end.  You mean it actually works for you?  If so, you're the only person it does for.  Could you explain why it doesn't crash for you but crashes for everyone else?

You have doubts?  :D

First of all, I think it was established that a 2.6 kernel is required for flash 9.

Getting the same problem as well. I went to a youtube video page. The text and images load fine, but once the Flash interface appears, Firefox freezes and quits.
The only error shown by 'strace' is this:
Code Sample
run-mozilla.sh: line 424: [PID] Segmentation fault
I would hesitate to say it is a kernel incompatibility though. The system requirements page on adobe.com doesn't mention kernels at all. But, true - The bottom line is, Flash 9 isn't working on *DSL currently.

* Testing with DSL 4.0.

Note requirements

So flash 9 means big, bigger, bloat.

What happens when the sites start using Silverlight, then must we also have moonlight and mono?
