Apps :: Skype login problems

If you are installing a Debian package that has a ton of dependencies, the best way to get the changes to stick is to do a regular hd install instead of running from livecd or frugal.

You could try the "deb2dsl" utility, but chances are you would generate a huge .dsl extension that won't work due to post-install scripts, not enough RAM, etc.

I had a bunch of issues getting skype to work. I just wrote a post about it at http://blog.sheergoodness.com/?p=17 .

are the libs that I used to get the static QT version of skype working with DSL 2.3.

How does one submit an app into the testing repository?

Sent. It's also at http://blog.sheergoodness.com/wordpre.....tar.gz
In DSL Mirror there are for download:
skype-0.93.tar.gz
skype.tar.gz

I can't login using skype.tar.gz
Not login problem using skype-0.93.tar.gz, but an audio problem using the OSS driver: A strong humming noise superposed on audio output.
Then I switch to ALSA driver and the audio work fine with Skype.
The sound chipset is VIA 8235.

Anybody had the some experience using Skype?
