Printers :: how is new in hplip?

OK, so the deskjet 3740 is supported by hplip. If you want to use hplip with cups you need to use the long uri and the ppd included with the hplip_ppd.tar.gz extension.

- about the only way to find what causes this problem is to set the log level in cupsd.conf to "debug" and look at the error log. It's really not that difficult...

i will test in other hp printer... the deskjet 3745 no success ...by my knowledge...

If you could try a few of the things I suggested above and post the results here, I could help more...

i test with a all in one hp fx380 with no succes...

the problem is the same .... a foomatic-rip error mesage

was the problem in to catch the same ppd file ...or a fx300 family is enough?

Did you follow the instructions in the hplip info file? If so, were there any error messages?

Could you edit cupsd.conf, change "LogLevel" to "Debug", restart cups and then look in /var/cups/error_log for errors?
