Other Help Topics :: Can no longer get Flash plugin
I'm using dsl 1.4 live, and I used to be able to get the flassh plugin for firefox with no problem (apps/net/browsers/get flash)-but now I get an error=
grabbing Macromedia's Flash 7.
Connecting to sluglug.ucsc.edu[128.114.59.17]:80
wget: server returned error 404: HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found
Error occured while trying to get the flash plugin...
Press any key to continue...
Anyone know whats going on?
Also...Once this is working agaiin, is there a way to save the flash plugin to a disk and just run it from there? Like a .dsl or .uci?
Thx
I get the same error, probably a temporary problem with their server.
As far as backing up, I believe once it installs it there is a message provided of what to back up. Although I cant remember what it is offhand.
You can get the flash plugin from any macromedia mirror. The file to backup is /opt/.firefox_plugins/libflashplayer.so
original here.
