Other Help Topics :: adding a small picture in a wm-application

Hello folks!,

I am working on a "2001: A Space Odyssey" theme in my dsl-box.

I've got the theme music as startup music.
during this music: xplanet shows the earth with "realtime" clouds.
I've got hal to tell me when there is new mail.
Now i want to add a little picture of hal along side the wmapp's (as small as a wmapp-box)

Do you know how i can do this?

I am also planning on getting rid of my "the matrix"-screensaver and replace it with something 2001-ish...

Idea's?

First thing that comes to my mind is to install wmdrawer and use HAL as the main icon there.  I can't remember exactly how it is done, but i know it can be done.
That one came to my mind too and i replaced the main picture with hal.png and everything seemed to be allright BUT then i expierenced a server crash??!!! (i didn't write down the exact error, sorry) After that (after a reboot) i couln't get into X(Free86). After deleting wmdrawer.tar.gz (from the root) everything was fine again.

By the way, i am not running a ftp/web/deamon. (i do however have just added my printer, but i guess that has nothing to do with it)

I don't know what the problem would be, sorry.
If you just want a picture, i'm sure there is at least one dockapp that just displays images.  Try dockapps.org

already did that. Couldn't find it. Back to wmdrawer (got it running without that server error message)

Stranges thing, i keep getting questionmarks for the icons in wmdrawer (even if i change the capitals and save it to filetools.lst)

??

Hal is fine though!

PS: I JUST GOT THAT PESSTY SERVER ERROR MESSAGE AGAIN: "fatal server error: could not create lock file in /tmp/.tx0-lock"

after this message i can't get into x(free86). After a reboot, i can..

Icons in wmdrawer keep going from questionmark to normal and don't run all the time...
