Other Help Topics :: Turn off Color Directory Listing?e

I'm having trouble locating an easy way to either modify the default directory colorization in aterm/dircolor or turn if off completely. I've tried modifying .Xtdesktop, I've tried commenting out the dircolor statement in .bashrc, I've tried making my own direcolor file but whatever I do it seems to always retain the god awefull colors.

Any help is appreciated.
