I am try to install DSL on an old system with limited 40mb ram
All goes well until I get:
Xinit: no file errno 2 unable to connect to X server
Xinit: no such process errno 3 server error
Any ideas?
Perhaps this system cannot startup the X server in the default 1024x768 mode.
Were you able to bootup the LiveCD first before trying an install ?
If you can try the " xsetup " option at the boot: prompt during startup,
you will get an opportunity to use a lower resolution before starting X
Once you get the system booted up and into the X desktop, use the
right click menu to select a method to install your DSL to your computer.
Then the parameters you used to get DSL running form LiveCD will be
passed on to your frugal/HDInstall..

I have successfully installed to hd. Now I have no mouse when I Re boot
Sounds like a serial mouse ..
reconstruct the link from /dev/ttyS0 to /dev/mouse ..
Search the forums using keyword 'serial' for more info ..
