i tryed this linux in hard disk after finsh i cant see any icons in disktop So i need help with it and and i need to open D: in windows
hda5 in linux but when i tryed to go into it ,i see its empity can any one tell me how to go to harddisk from this linux? right-click anywhere in your desktop and use the menu to go to:
Desktop -> full enhanced desktop.. (you should see icons)
If you want to access you d: (win) drive (hda5 in Linux) go to the Wmapplication (in the dockingbar) Probably you see: floppy with under it 2 arrow-buttons and a strange swirly line. use the arrows to go to hda5 and click on the swirly line (this means that you have mounted dev/hda5 in the map: mnt/hda5). You can now double click on the hda5-drive-picture or start emelfm and go to: /mnt/hda5)

and i will try that when i reboot (after 2 hours maybe :P )What screen resolution do you use? If it is set to high the icons and task slit wont show...you have to set screen resolution lower (I have a laptop that wont go over 800x600 without loosing picture)
If you are using 0.8.+ it automatically boots into the enhanced desktop
you can mount thru shell by

now you can cd into /mnt/hda1 just like its one of your linux partitions

I installed DSL to a pen drive Boots good I installed firefox then I changed the style But when I reboot it is back to the begining all is gone I have been reading on the forum about back up and restore do i have to do that everytime i boot?? is there a way to just boot to the clean style with nothing but firefox on the desktop?
