Other Help Topics :: how to use ftp server?

now then you are looking in the /home/dsl directory.
that is in a ramdisk you can write and read to it

Yep,
If your seeing the mutella directory, your in the users $HOME
directory that you logged in with..

If you place FILES in that directory, you should see them just
like the mutella directory..

Good work..

but now my final question I'd like to see the harddrive I mounted when i log in on my ftp how can i get there? :)

in your ftp client
cd /mnt/harddrive_you_mounted

but im logging in from a windows machine? so when i Connect with the standard internet broweser and type ftp://myipadress and then username+password I can't type commands like cd/mnt/hda1

Me a bit confused, im still a noob in linux :)
