Other Help Topics :: init 3

HI,
Total linux newbie here.
I have installed DSL on an old machine.
I log-in using root and type..... init 3
But nothing happens I stay on windowed mode.
Am i doing something wrong?

Log in as normal (dsl), and exit Fluxbox.
Edit .bash_profile, to remove the "startx" line.
Add "home/dsl/.bash_profile" to filetool.lst and then backup.

If you want to log in as root in text mode, just boot up with the option "dsl 2".
