I install openoffice but there are no icon on desktop to start it ?? How I make icon for openoffice and how to delete some other icons from desktop

The deskop icon configuration files are stored in the /home/dsl/.xtdesktop directory.

This is a "hidden" directory because the name begins with a "." period.

You can view it if you push the "H" button at the top of the emelfm window pane.

The desktop icon information is stored inside the *.lnk files, and the icon picture file is stored as either *.png or *.gif files.

You can edit the *.lnk files by double-clicking on them in emelfm and choose "View".

You can use an existing *.lnk file as a template for building a new one of Open Office.

Please be careful to type the location of the icon picture file correctly. If it is mispelled, or the icon file is not found, then all of your icons will disapper when you restart the xtdesk icon program.

I am trying to figure out how to make a desktop shortcut to my hda2 partition where I keep my documents. Any help is greatly appreciated.
