What files contain your prefereces in DSL?
What I'm talking about is thinks like files that control were the icons are and what desktop style your using.
What I'm planning to do is set up my desktop the way I like it then save those preference files on my own custom dsl cd, then add somekind of script that swaps the preference files at boot, so when I boot I have my own custom desktop.
Now for a few questions:
1. Is this even possible?
2. Is there already an easier way to do this?
Thanks,

Ok, I think I figured it out.
I think it has something to do with the backup/restore utility and the filetool.lst file.
One BIG problem, how come evey time I press backup in the backup/restore utility (right click-->System-->Backup/Restore), the backup/restore utility just freezes. Maybe I'm not entering the right info. This is what I've tried: /dev/hdd1 (my harddisk), /mnt/hdd1 (my harddisk), /dev/sda1 (my mp3 player), /mnt/sda1 (my mp3 player). They all seem to freeze the backup/restore utility when I press backup.
How do you people normaly do this?
thanks once again,
